This is a new one on me. This is also in the middle of a continuing series of private investigators. Jules an FBI agent gay and out is after a bad guy who they think in smuggling terrorist into the US. Ric is an ex-cop who is still trying to find himself. I was a bit skeptical at first picking this up as it didn't involve one of the "Team Sixteen/Troubleshooter" characters but once I got into the story it was great. Suzanne Brockmann "rocks" for adventure romance writing.
I really enjoyed the continuation of Jules and Robin's story arc that was started in HOT TARGET in this book thought it was very well done and found myself more emotionally involved with that story arc than the main story line of Ric and Annie. ...more
