What Members Thought

Jeffrey Hardison comes home from work and hours later, his wife Sabine still hasn’t shown up. It’s soon determined that she’s missing. Meanwhile, a woman calling herself Beth Murphy, a fake identity, is on the run from her abusive husband and she’s leaving false trails to throw him off. As Marcus Durand, the detective assigned to the case, investigates Sabine’s disappearance, things start looking grim for Jeffrey as it looks like he had every reason to get rid of her.

Dear Wife, by Kimberly Belle, is a riveting, cleverly plotted thriller about a woman who, in a fight for survival, is on the run from her abusive husband.
This leads to a suspenseful game of cat and mouse that kept me guessing until the very end.
An excellent psychological thriller with an ending I wasn't expecting.

A perfectly messed-up story – one that will have you mind-boggled from start to finish. There’s more than a generous teaser above that should quickly grab your attention and push you towards the one-click button. And because I don’t want to spoil this absolutely amazing thriller for any reader, there won’t be many specifics in my review. It’s only fitting that you receive the total impact and the overall effect this story is designed to compel.

2019; Park Row/Harlequin
I had a difficult time rating this one. Belle had me racing along with the novel to see where it was going. I knew one of the red herrings was just that a red herring, but I wanted to know how it all came together. This is also a difficult book to review because the things that didn't work for me are spoilers, lol. So, I am going to keep this review short...I liked Belle's writing and almost all the characterizations were strong, and the suspense was defi ...more

Good story, fast paced writing. Fairly easy to figure out what's going on but that didn't detract too much from the overall execution of the story. Just didn't really grab me.

Group read on goodreads. It took me a while to reconcile some questions/inconsistencies. Other questions I had were not resolved by the end of the book.
