2024 Update
I listened to the story this time and it was just a better reading experience with Eva Kaminsky’s storytelling skills. I also felt like Sam bent the rules more than I was comfortable with than before. My rating is unchanged.

Brace yourselves! Book number 10 scores a 10! Marie Force once again has another surefire winner in the magnetic and extraordinary “Fatal” series. After being suspended and sent home, Homicide Lt. This was an interesting story with many offshoots that made it a bit muddy for me. I loved seeing Sam taking care of her boys while she was suspended, but not really suspended because a case dropped in her lap. Looking forward to the next!
