The second novel in D.B. Reynolds' Vampires in America (VIA) paranormal romance series and a direct continuation of Raphael. Though the title 'Jabril' refers to a key vampire lord - the 'big bad' of the novel, the main focus is on the vampire lord Raphael and his human mate Cyn. As such, it contains big spoilers for 'Raphael' and readers who skip the previous novel will miss out on key information and character development.

Plenty of action, humor, and some sex. Many of the main characters from the first book are back, and some new ones. This book is about Lord Jabril. He's ruthless & brutal, and hires Cynthia to find a missing person for him. It's the human sister of one of his vampires. The sisters are trustfund rich and come into much of their money when they turn 18. The older (Marabelle) one, when she turned 18, the next day he forced her to be his vampire, and now he's counting the days until the younger one ...more
