Well this was a very interesting take on angels. Neat world building, neat characters, cool setting, the whole book worked. My only complaint is what the H.E. double hockey sticks kind of ending was that! I'm very glad book 2 is out because that left me wanting (obviously)! I've put off reading this book because a lot of times when I've enjoyed a series that's ended by an author I'm overly critical of a new one. This book starts slow and you really don't know what is going on for at least the first half. That made it easy to put down and hard to pick back up. Plus I didn't get a good feel for the characters and insta-love didn't help that.
