So I go and pick up this book, I'm pumped. So very excited to be getting back to Sookie and Eric ( wipes drool off my chin). So picture if you will, I have the bottle of red open. I am all cozy and set to read. I stop and go "hmmm". Shake it off as the normal okay we are at the start of the book lets recap for those who might not remember.
So I take some more sips and continue on. Stopping yet again, I go "hmm, um, yeah". We are hitting somewhere past the 100 mark and I'm getting a little worrie ...more

This is the mmnnth book in the series (I'm not sure honestly) and I've read some pretty harsh things about it. I personally enjoyed the book. True, it no longer has the joy or excitement of the books early in the series, but Sookie isn't that person anymore. Her life has seen too much grief, too much bloodshed honestly. And, yes, Sookie does seem to have an endless list of enemies, but where would the series be without them? Does anyone really want to read about how Sookie goes to work at Merlot

Not really mystery heavy but a lot of stuff with the characters, great action and events. Annoying there's so many unanswered questions waiting for next book, but I'll hold my breath and see (of course)

I have a friend and she wanted me to let her know if this was as "weird" as the last Sookie installment. Number 10 was weird and now I know why. I think that Charlaine Harris has had a hard time finding Sookie's voice. It was almost totally lost in last book. Dead Reckoning starts out in this voiceless way but then somehow Harris finds Sookie again and as the action heats up the story and our narrator feels more like earlier novels. I would not say it is my favorite, but true fans will want to r

Just an okay read for me. Eric and Sookie didn't spend much together and when they did they just disagreed. Sookie made some poor decisions but hey that's how the series has been going lately. I keep hoping the series gets as good as the first 5 installments but not yet. I've purchased the hardcover books and they are darn expensive when they don't blow you away. So we'll see if I'll purchase the next one in hardcover or wait for the paperback.

I have always loved this series from book one. In true Charlaine Harris style, Dead Reckoning was another winner. My only complaint was the ending--a cliffhanger! Cliffhangers shouldn't be allowed unless the next book is already published! Now I have to wait.

This was probably my least favorite book in the series thus far. I think it lacked development, but it could just be a stepping stone in setting up the next book in the series. Overall, it was still a good read, but it's just not my fave.

ok, - This makes me sad. I really wanted to give this the full 5 stars. - I just couldn't though. The book just dragged on with Sookie having to explain, or go on about the most mundane stuff. It was like Ms. Harris felt she had to wrap up a bunch of loose ends.. but then felt the need to pepper it with little bombs here and there.
