This is the second in the Southern Vampires series featuring Sookie Stackhouse. It starts with a 'friend' of Sookie turning dead in a police car, then she gets hired by the Dallas vampires to help them find a missing 'brother'. A lot of adventures in both Dallas and Bon Temps with some Eric thrown in.
Very good fast read, I had trouble putting the book down, the adventure builds up and you just have to know what happens. In addition to Eric being a main character in this book makes it even better ...more

I don't know if I'm going to finish this book. It's entirely too much like the first one. Sookie's too prideful. She gets beaten up. She has a bunch of sex. She complains about her abilities and "having" to help other vampires. *yawn*
The only character I seem to like is Bill. Let's leave everyone else out and have adventures of Bill the Vampire series instead. He's the only one with any real dimension. Let's hear more about the other vampires too. Let's leave Sookie out altogether. ...more
