Alexander Roman and his two brothers, Lucian and Nicholas have defected from the credenti, their abusive families. They make a pact to stay away and live their lives free, however when the Eternal Orders forces Alexander's morpho, the brothers are sucked back into the life they hated. Now Ethan Dare is targeting credenti females and impregnating them with Impures in an effort to overthrow the Purebloods. Alexander is tasked with the killing of Dare and his punishment for failing is Nicholas's mo Alexander Roman and his two brothers, Lucian and Nicholas have defected from the credenti, their abusive families. They make a pact to stay away and live their lives free, however when the Eternal Orders forces Alexander's morpho, the brothers are sucked back into the life they hated. There are unique aspects to these vampires: they can integrate into human society without detection until the morpho stage and then it's back to lots of blood and no sunlight.

Sara Donohue risks her life to save Alexander when he morphos right on her doorstep. There is an instant connection between them and neither one can imagine why. The push and pull of their relationship is sometimes sweet and yet an impossibility. As a morpho, Alexander can only "mate" with a vampire and Sara just doesn't fit the bill.

Alexander is the eldest of the siblings and a supreme alpha who is used to getting his way. However, Sara is a doctor and her patients are very important to her especially her mentally and physically damaged brother whom she is trying to return to the land of the living.

I had a tough time getting into this book (which explains 4/5 stars) because the world building takes a little getting used to and I didn't really like any of the brothers. There just wasn't enough background information to draw me into their lives and their situation. About halfway through the book, I finally comprehended what was going on and what the battle involved for the brothers and Alexander in particular. I really liked Alexander's caveman character because it was based on love even though he didn't realize it at the time. Sara is a very strong female with ideas and a life of her own. All in all a terrific series starter and I'm hoping to enjoy Nicholas's story though Lucian's is the one I'm really waiting for.

I thought Eternal Hunger was an enjoyable read. I liked the back story with Sara's brother and mom. little different spin. I also found two other female characters very interesting but wished they had been fleshed out more. The same with Lucian and Nicholas...I wanted to get to know them a bit better...they did not jump out at me. Sometimes read books where they give you so much background and history you are board to tears. In this case I would have liked a little bit more. A few extra words he ...more

This book has a guaranteed read logo on the back and let me tell you I back that guarantee. What an awesome read. I absolutely loved the main characters, Alexander and Sara but let me tell you the secondary characters where just as hot (Nicholas, Lucian and Dillion.) Tall, dark and dangerous is what Alexander is and his brothers are just as hot. Fast paced, dark, delectable, passionate and sexy as hell best describe this book. I loved it.
