A little darker then the first book, but still some funny spots. The men in the family are definately stubborn and not always social. Plenty of mystery and suspense.
I really liked this book. I love Lynsay's theories on how and why there are vampires (Atlantis, Nanos, etc..) I love the characters, witty and real. This series is great I am on to the 4th book! If you like the ideas of vampires and like romance these are for you. Most series fizzle out after so many books, but Lynsay keeps it new and fresh!

Good but a little predictable. Maybe I have read too much of the same kind of books.
