This installment begins shortly before Hunted: A Cyn & Raphael Novellaends, continuing the party to greet the contenders for Midwest Lord. Aden's a definite contender for being the new Midwest vampire Lord but first he has to win the challenges coming his way while he "romances" investigative reporter Sidonie Reid. Sid is out to run an expose on the slavery trade being run concurrently with the drugs being run through town. Both activities were controlled by

I've already read Aden and the rest of the Vampire's in America (VIA) series, but it was great to hear Aden and Sidonie brought to life by the excellent narration of Nick J Russo and I'm looking forward to catching up on the audio of the rest of the series as they are released.

Although a standalone novel with it's own story arc and HEA, the wider VIA series is best read/listened in order as there are recurring characters that give away plot and character development spoilers and there's a great

The seventh book in the Vampires in America series is an intriguing vampire romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

One of the most powerful vampires in North America, Aden is waging war on others of his kind in a struggle to become the next Lord of the Midwest, but in the midst of the deadliest fight of his life, Aden is hellbent on destroying slavery and those who profit from it. This is one my favorite PNR series! This latest one was a little darker and kinkier than the others. What I love about these books is how much action they have. They're not just sappy romance and way better than most vampire PNR. You can always count on a Vampires in America book to deliver! ...more

This is one of my favorite series, its at the top of my list for rereads. I will start by saying Raphael still holds the top spot of favorite vampire in this series but Aden has now taken a strong hold of 2nd place. Aden was so delicious in his bedroom antics and his straight forward attitude I loved. The story line I felt was a little weak but I loved the romance. I enjoyed Aden's interactions with Sidonie, especially due to his past betrayals from woman who claimed to love him. This is a must ...more

No body writes it better than Ms. Reynolds.
Aden and Sid's story was everything I've come to expect and more.
I enjoyed learning about Aden's history and how he came through on the other side.
I enjoyed Sid's tenacity and her courage.
This world that Ms. Reynolds has created is one that I always feel I've stepped into from the very first page.
I blew through this book way to fast. I wanted it to last but I just could not put it down.
Ms. Reynolds writes the best erotic scenes and I've read many.

I enjoyed Aden even though at first I thought he was a chauvinistic pig. I liked Sid she is a no nonsense type of woman. This gets to the heart of the issue slavery and drug pushing. Sid is investigating the slavery that has taken place in Chicago. As she stumbles upon vampires she learns that the people in charge are in the fight of their life.

I liked the plot and subplot. I like how she weaves Cyn even though they are not involved in the Midwest just in the overall plans. I can't wait for Vinc

Good book!
Still not sure if I actually like the characters but it did further the overall arc of the series. So, yay? The sex is haaaaawt.

attempted re-read May 2014: Can't do it. Once through with the awful Sidonie was quite enough.
