Nick's study buddy and U.S. Senator's daughter, Maggie Gordeau, can't stop missing Nick and visits Sanctuary to feel a little closer and an unofficial goodbye. As expected, there's no Nick but the pull of the tigard, Wren Tigarian, tugs at her heart. For Maggie, Wren's willing to make a few personal changes which is off-putting to a character or two.

Wren's true form: white tiger, half snow leopard. Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau is just a law student at LSU (and a US senators daughter).
Maggie met Wren at the bar where he worked as a busboy and something about his lonely existence spoke to her. Wren spoke to her and bam--their connection ignited.
This was a fun, action packed story. It had a great romance, family reunions, time travel, lots of loving, you name it. I didn't connect with Wren in the other DH stories, but I dug him in his own book. ...more
