I was very impressed by Forsters literary style. In his use of language he reminded me of a modern day Dickens. There were some great "one liners".
The story is slow paced but the detail and atmosphere created kept me immersed in the story. It is the story of Raj India and the conflicts caused by Imperialism. The characters are real and well developed and the conflict created a tension that was able to be transmitted to the reader.
it was probably all the more gripping because I listened to it.
