What Members Thought
I'm devastated. I read this book in a single day. I was hooked by the story and loved the childlike wonder of the way Pi looked at the world prior to the ship sinking. And then with the ordeal that followed the book became something more. I was completely sold but started to lose my conviction when Richard Parker goes blind. The encounters that followed that point started to sour me on the story and then in the last 30 pages, even that was explained and to some degree explained.

There are not many authors that can capture your attention when the setting is on a boat and there are only two characters, but Martel captured mine. A lovely read!
He maintained a brilliant balance between belief and disbelief.However it was a gripping story beginning to end.

I have tried 3 times to start this book and keep putting it down. My friends say to not give up!
Great book explores conflict of personal values in desparate situations. Symbolism is great.
All I'm going to say is, I believe the tiger story.
