The first book in this series was a work of art. Generally starting the follow-up to a piece like that, I worry that it won’t be able to recapture the magic of the story that brought me there. The descriptions of the the settings and seasons are vividly portrayed and subtly tug you into the world Stiefvater has created for Grace and Sam. As a reader, you feel the changes in atmosphere both physical, and psychological, as each voice chimes in to add layers to the story while it tumbles out. I love the poetry and the music and the depth to the dialog.
I am very excited that I won't have to wait long to read Forever.
With an ending like this book, you shouldn't have to wait!

This was a great book. I don't know if it was as good as the first one, but I think that's because it had a darker feel to it. The first was all young love and romance and fuzzy blankets. This one lost a little bit of that, maybe because there were too many characters. I love Isabel and think she has a great voice, but I don't know if I needed her and Cole's narratives. This also followed the Star Wars pattern and ended with "The Empire Strikes Back." Definitely dark, and depressing. I'm hopeful
