What Members Thought
I've been wondering what to say about this for awhile. It is such a unique book - episodic rather than plot-driven and unapologetically focused on single women (spinsters and widows). It seems like the genius of the book lies in the humble pairing of these two characteristics that are relatively unheard of in the novel form. They complement each other well.
