VASTLY OVERRATED P.O.S. that has gotten a lot of good reviews - it's probably just me: this is a horror novel for people who are 'above' horror novels - just enough technique to impress and to be "literary". Anyone who's seen any horror/SF movie made in the last 40 years will not be scared by the horrific doings -- in fact, it was annoying. Sort of what would happen if the author of INFINITE JEST attempted to write a horror story. ...more
