Finally at the end we learn the origins of all five. It makes sense and is a twisted path to get there. I don't have much interest in continuing the series now that the secret has been solved and some of the firsts have happened, but also because the main character kept getting on my nerves. She goes from flightly and daft to downright smug and obnoxious. I liked her in the first book but there are new sides that are just grating. The "favorite" thing got old. Aaaaaaaannnnnd I’m done. I got 75% of the way through this. Which by the way this one is super short and it went all in on the supreme supernatural beings gods and goddesses thing and I lost all interest. Not only that it was confusing and made little sense.

As per my review for book 1, I have blitzed through this series in a day because I was addicted and couldn't put it down ... not even to sleep.
The downside to that is that they blur together a bit, and it makes it hard to review the books individually because I can't remember where one ended and the next began. There's no time gaps between the books. What I do remember about this one is that it is where I went from "man, this series is really fun" to "holy shit, this series is amazeballs!"

We figure out the mystery behind the main characters and the boys figure out the main character should not be taken for granted. I liked the backstory behind the main characters and the foundation of their relationship. It was very well-written and the beginning action portion was thrilling and fun to read.
