Five "This book was everything I didn't know I wanted" stars!
I think the title couldn't be more perfect, it was DEFINITELY a Game of Lies!
Let me start by saying I really wish I would have gone back and re-read the first book before jumping into this, but alas, I was too impatient. The two books are so intimately intertwined that I found myself trying to remember all the finer details of book 1 in order to follow all the lies, secrets, and scheming in this book.

Devoured in a day.
I read and read and read and was following twist after twist.
It was quite awesome to have a book where I had no idea exactly what’s going to happen. The characters in the book don’t act like I would expect them to, and their reactions are interesting too.
This book has a boatload of stuff going on. So much. I have no idea who exactly her lovers should be. I have an idea but, now I’m not so sure.
The ending of this one also has an epilogue in Oberon’s pov or however you spell it. ...more

No spoilers and colorful language abound!
I WAS DELIGHTFULLY BEWILDERED THE ENTIRE TIME! I'm so into this series.
Side note: I'm like lusty-angry at Talen 100% of the time. I can't figure it out.

I wrote a review when I finished book one. But after that I listened to or read books 2, 3, 4, and 5 back to back, with no time between. So, I'm just going to write the one review for all of them.
Prior to this series, I'd read one Pippa DaCosta book and, while I didn't dislike it, I wasn't particularly impressed either. So, I was startled to dive into this series and want to stay for a while. I really enjoyed it. It's not perfect, but it's fun and everything wraps around itself and comes to a ...more

Okay, this 2nd installment has convinced me.
Are there still moments of plot holes, moments of "he's a good listener" when all he's doing is sitting there like a normal person, moments of very dramatic and repetitive inner monologues, moments of convenience like having a pistol when there was no indication of ever finding one in the first place, moments of overpowered beings and questionable villain choices, moments of questioning why everyone is obsessed with this girl when nothing has shown me ...more

This series was INTENSE! It was wonderfully written and thought out. The characters develop in such a complete way from book one to book five so that they are genuinely different people by the end. The relationships grow in a relatively organic way as well so that it is not rushed and feels real. I laughed quite a bit and fought tears while reading. The ending was everything! Truly fantastic series that I intend to read all over again.

So, I was thinking about continuing this one... interesting world, slow building romance, interesting story, but I can't stand the main character. She is still going back and forth between who she will be so I understand why no one trusts her. She can't believe it *rolls eyes* seriously? and then I read that she continues to flounder, so I'm just not going to be able to do it.
