This one was a real mixture for me. Something happened about 35 pages in that had me literally squealing with delight and then in the last 30 pages I was open mouthed...and not in a good way.
I want to start by saying that I LOVE this series as a whole. I would highly recommend it to fans of Urban Fantasy who like a Reverse Harem aspect, too. Savior of Midnight was a classic case of building up a story and a character well enough only to struggle with how to tie it all together for a satisfying conclusion.
As each book progressed in this series, Serenity becomes more and more of a special snowflake. An ok ending to a decent series
I’m not a fan of the ending, not truly. Especially since someone dies and then someone new comes into the picture and we don’t get to experience any of it. It’s just an epilogue of 6 months in the future. And then the ending, the outside world. I want to know more but in the context of our characters having to adapt and learn what it really is like. I was disappointed we didn’t get to see that, we never got to find out where she was from or how she came to be put i ...more
