What Members Thought

I finished The Nightshade's Touch a couple of days ago and I still feel like a wreck. It was brilliant and I loved almost every second of it. I wanted to say every second but the ending made me bawl like a baby. Or rather like a toddler that didn't get the toy she wanted. Because I didn't get the ending I wanted. Things were finally starting to make sense and Kesh was finally making some progress on the emotional front and then this happened! To be honest the only reason I'm semi-coherent at the ...more

4.5.
While there are still some fraustrating moments in this, there are some VERY welcome romantic developments between Kesh, Talen and Kellee.
This feels like such an original series and there is the perfect balance (for me anyway) of plot, action and romance. The whole fae-in-space things is brilliant, as well.
It ends on a pretty big cliff hanger, but thank good was for the excerpt for the next book, or I'd be a lot more annoyed! ...more

No spoilers and colorful language abound!
Ugh, KESH. TALEN. YASS PLEASE. SO GOOD. Here for all of this! This is my first DaCosta series and I'm hooked. The writing is lovely, odd and enthralling. Excited for the next installment, and checking out this authors other works. ...more

This is one of the slower books. It wasn’t my favorite of the series even though we do finally get some sexy time.
Of course everything culminates at the end. Of course we were trotting along and then galloping toward the end there. I’m not happy with where this went, however I didn’t see it coming completely. I make predictions in my head about what I think will happen and I enjoy when I am wrong. It’s nice not being able to predict anything.

This author really doesn't like the concept of foreshadowing.
Things happened and they were out of left field. Like zero groundwork for all the pieces of the puzzles coming together (or are they? No idea. The author is still pretty vague and I'm still pretty lost). This isn't a new concept for Dacosta, but I was hoping in this third installment that she would have built upon her writing skills and incorporated these nuances in the story. Nope. Not in sight whatsoever.

I wrote a review when I finished book one. But after that I listened to or read books 2, 3, 4, and 5 back to back, with no time between. So, I'm just going to write the one review for all of them.
Prior to this series, I'd read one Pippa DaCosta book and, while I didn't dislike it, I wasn't particularly impressed either. So, I was startled to dive into this series and want to stay for a while. I really enjoyed it. It's not perfect, but it's fun and everything wraps around itself and comes to a ...more

This series was INTENSE! It was wonderfully written and thought out. The characters develop in such a complete way from book one to book five so that they are genuinely different people by the end. The relationships grow in a relatively organic way as well so that it is not rushed and feels real. I laughed quite a bit and fought tears while reading. The ending was everything! Truly fantastic series that I intend to read all over again.

Wow
I am loving this series. Can't wait to raed the next book. I hope her guys forgive her does something she had no control over. Love Pippa DaCosta. ...more

LOVE this series!
I don't think there's any reverse harem series out there that comes close to The Messenger Chronicles. It delivers exactly what readers want and much more. ...more
