Her fae are definitely NOT like this

She has a way of creating dark, unique worlds and well developed characters that simply work for me and this book is no different. I would have given it more stars but there were a few glaring problems that I just couldn't overlook and that I hope are resolved in subsequent books

Not bad but I wish it was slightly deeper
This is not a bad book, but I wish it was slightly deeper. With Ciar and Keri finally get together you kinda felt like they were a couple already. Not only that but them going to the school seems somewhat silly based on the situations that happen later. Some of the things happening are confusing because they aren’t explained well, or are surface deep.

The story idea was there, I just thought the writing was very sub-par. You didn't get any suspense before something happened, just the action. You didn't get any sexual tension build-up, just all of a sudden BOOM love. You didn't get any anticipation, you were just given the answer right after the question was asked.

Creative new take on the fae
The creativity and imagination in the writing of this story was amazing, the characters were brilliant, fun, flirty, hilarious seriously everything I could've hoped for! The story started out a bit slow for me but a few chapters in and I couldn't put it down, Keri is now my spirit animal. Disorganized, badly written info dump with not a lot of story happening. It gets a little bit better as the story continues, barely readable.
