What Members Thought

I enjoyed it, but the second one was definitely the best of this trilogy. Here were the snags that led to me knocking it down a star:
1. The lead characters did some shockingly stupid stuff in order to serve the plot.
I'm never a fan of TSTL, but it particularly irritates me when otherwise sharp, smart characters miss obvious stuff in an out-of-character way in order to further the story. There were a couple of cases of this, but the most egregious, to me, was (view spoiler) ...more

Will return to. I hope. For whatever reason, I wasn’t in the headspace for it.

Thrilling finale
My reviews for the last two books were quick because I have do do the whole rate and review thing before I can return it for the next one on KU (so unfair right). I loved this series from about three chapters into the first book and read the Trillogy in a day. The journey the characters go on- both the adventure and the emotional ones- are really well done and engaging. I was on the edge of my seat about Alec and 'the words' constantly. I cried when some of the major things happ ...more
