The ending of this one took me completely by surprise. Not because something shocking happens but because it kind of came out of nowhere. I am glad at least lives are not hanging in the balance this time around. The action ramped up a bit in this one as did the push and pull between Avery and Atticus. Where Aodhan is concerned things with Avery are pretty solid. The two communicate and have finally admitted their feelings towards one another. The Ruthless is the second book in the Queen Crow series by J Bree.

This book has it all! Action, suspense, steam and a great storyline.
Avery continues to grow throughout this book and find more about herself and what she wants out of life.
She has always been ruthless but takes it to a new level in this book 🤩

As with the last book, I loved reading Averys story. She has always been one of my favourite side characters and makes an incredible main character.
