In this second installment of Lexi Winston’s Galaxy Circus series, Lila is still adjusting to the idea of 1)having family 2) her inheritance with the Galaxy Circus 3) her mating with Caspian (and having others in the wings)… let alone the whole aliens in the galaxy thing…. She still hasn’t found her power yet, though we get some more insight into that in this book. We get more interaction with Link and Xavier, with hints of who is to come. This series is really becoming a favorite for me. Winston has created such a vast world with elaborate creatures that has left me craving more immediately. Lila is a character that I'm enjoying learning about as she navigates this new world she's been thrown into. Between finding out the truth of her heritage, her gaining mates, and the craziness of all the side drama, I'm loving it all. I'm really excited to see where the story is headed! ...more

Worse than the first, 1.5 stars. Not sure if I can continue the series - the dialogue is so stilted and unnatural, concerns blow up and get addressed all in the blink of an eye, there’s a weird lack of contractions especially for “I am” and “___ are.” The characters have no distinct voice - they all talk like the FMC. Caspian, who we should know best at this point of the FMC’s suitors, remains a flat character.
