I loved the first book but found I didn't like this one uqote as much.
Don't get me wrong, it's full of fabulous villian gloriousness like all of Kathryn's book, but I guess I wasn't feeling it as much as the first.
I find I want Abigail to develop a bit more of her power and strength and Valroy's obsession with his war that is the main obstacle in them being together is just a bit daft, in that the only reason he wants to do to it is because it's what he was made to do. I don't know, I just ...more

Twisted male main character with a sympathetic, yet almost as twisted female main character…. Yup, it’s a Kingsley novel. Tense, somehow tender and fully enjoyable.
