I LOVED Kit
He is so much fun, so witty, and looks like Chris Pine
I was never not going to like him
Warped gives us Kit Morris's story...you may remember his short story at the end of The Alchemist and an Amaretto. We finally get to find out exactly who Kit Morris is and how he fits into the whole Guild Codex universe (fun fact, this series is independent of Guild Codex so it can be read completely separately). I'm changing this to a 2.5 star bc it was better than the 2nd book and I realized that while reading the sequel.

While the authors' unique voice is still present in this installment, I didn't enjoy this story as much.
Kit's warping ability was pretty cool, but that's about it.
It was just a little boring. I skimmed the majority of this, and I'm glad I did bc there wasn't much substance. While I didn't hate it, I think it was below average, hence the 2 star rati ...more

I loved this book! It explored a while new side of the magical system in this world and made it fun while it did.
I wasn't sure how I would feel about this one and it did take me quite a while to get into it, but by the end I was bummed the sequel wasn't out yet. This is going to be an interesting look at this world.

First time read for me as I'm reading and re-reading the series in the full Guild universe order. This was fun with a sarcastic and unique psychic mystic. Did not grip me as much as the other series yet but worth continuing when I get to more books with Kit as the MC.
