Splintered was a journey into a Wonderland that differed from Lewis Carroll’s imaginary one but was no less for it. It was unique and wondrous. A.G. Howard managed to build it up skillfully and deftly. It was a magical and haunting land.

Not only that, but the creatures that were in Wonderland were strange and wonderful too. Some were beautiful. Some were ugly. All were intrinsically unique and held my interest. There were also pixies and there were animated clams and those held my fancy.

Maybe it's because I am just not a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland but I just felt that this book was mediocre and I listened to the audio version and about two hours from the ending I just got really bored and tired of it, but I did finish it. Don't really think I liked it enough to continue with the series. ...more
