After reading "The Martian," I had high expectations for Weir's next book. I was disappointed.
While the plot was interesting and the science solid, I found myself uncomfortable with the way the protagonist (a woman) was portrayed. It took me a while to put my finger on it, then I realized that the author had created a character that acted the way a man thought a woman might act, not how a woman would act.
