More eventful than the first book in the series, with a rapid whirl of settings and new characters and action. Kirra makes for a nicely complex central character.

Far more romance-y than the first in the series, but with an atypically mature outcome. Shapeshifting's neat and tidy in this world, so if you prefer your were-creatures with goo and angst, this one's not for you. ...more
