This book was written when the author was only fifteen. I want to get that out in the open to begin with, and yes, I admit that it is indeed impressive to have a book published while one is still in one's teens. That being said, I also think that when a teenage author gets published, s/he must be held up to the same standards as adult authors, and by those standards, well, this book isn't particularly good.
