This book I read after reading the first, fourth and third books of the Five Hundred Kingdoms series (in that order). It really filled in some gaps/questions I had about the third book. It was definitely better than the fourth book, too.

Book two of the 500 kingdoms. Fun and fast read. If you like Mercedes Lackey's style, you'll enjoy this series.
