One of the best in this series. I really enjoyed the references to the practice of medicine in that time period and the cultures involved. Maya is one of the more fleshed out characters in the series and I am glad she makes an appearance in another book of the series.

what a great take on the classic snow white fairytale, liberally meshed in with the suffergist movement in London, and the prevailing attitudes against gender, class, and race.
