the lengthiest of this trilogy, at times this book felt a little bloated. even so, once again it was full of such delightful imagery (both dark and light) and storylines that i zipped through this book in a day or so, just like the others. this installment has a little more philosophizing, but it's done in a mostly innocuous way, so i didn't mind too much. good stuff to make you think, and of course just a fun romp. definitely recommend this entire series to any fantasy lovers.

The climax of the book was incrdible however it did become a little annoyingly dogmatic towards the end as well. Not enought to ruin it, but enough to knock it down one star in my estimation.
