4.0 stars. This is a well written, original, epic fantasy story with well drawn, three dimensional characters and a very intricate plot. Some pacing problems and a few slow parts keep this from getting a five star rating but I will certainly read the next book in the series. Recommended.
This is a superb work of fantasy which I think I have read for the third time.
Transformation was an amazing read. Berg does a fantastic job creating the characters Seyonne and Aleksander. The memorable parts of this book are probably the verbal exchanges between Prince Aleksander and his slave, Seyonne--amusing conversations that really build these two characters and stick well in the memory even after reading them.
