What Members Thought

I liked the long periods in this book of exposition and development of setting and character. One of the advantages of a series this long is that you can really get a sense of place and time and feel a closeness to the characters. A few of the characters' idiosyncrasies are becoming repetitive (braid tugging, raising chins, etc...) but overall I'm still enjoying them for the most part. I'm going to try this again. I got my hands on an abridged edition (3 CD's, about 3 hours). I don't see how we can do more than summarize the story.
I think it might have been better as 10-15 CDs. We more or less just hit the highlights.
