Quite a few delicious 5 star morsels buried in a truckload of bland 1 and 2 star gruel.
This was the one where Rand had this grand plan to bring an army down on one of the forsaken in Illian, then, right turn, everyone goes and does something else.
Rand - starts a school for the men who can channel, has another school for science, does way too much politicking, and arguing with the voice in his head. Interesting ending though.
Morgase - a few minutes of interesting, but had to sit through some bori ...more

This author needs an editor with a machete to cut out large chunks of boring, and just leave the interesting stuff.
This book is only half of a story arc. A lot of stuff gets left hanging until the end of the next book.
