A lot better the second time around. Yes, this was a re-read for me and the story seemed much more intriguing this time. I really like Harry, even though he likes to make life harder for himself. I still don't get why he couldn't be straight with Murphy. I mean, he didn't have to tell her about the White Council but there were things that he could have told her, about his suspicions and about Marcone and his man... He had to know that she would go and investigate anyway. Wasn't it better for her

Oh no! Bad files. I didn't get a lot of the ending. I enjoyed Marster's voice, though it was more breathy than I am used to for audiobooks. This series has been out for a while and I'm daunted by the current length of it, but it was a decent urban fantasy/cranky detective with a life that mostly sucks story. I'll have to get a print version to fill in the blanks and then decide it I want to follow the series...

Poor Harry just seemed to get into the strangest situations and it was amusing to see how he got out of them. Definitely a good amount of humor in this book and a nice change of pace to read a book where the male lead isn't perfect.

Not really sure why it took me so long to read this book, it didn't grab me the first time I tried. But apparently the second time was a charm because I read the whole thing last night (and now I'm tired).
