What Members Thought
a lot of fun. reader recall: pacing of a story was much different in the 19th century. would love to have an illustrated edition with referential images of the era.
Had I lived at the time of publication, I think I would have been mesmerized. Intrepid explorers on a harrowing expedition into the centre of the earth, that's good stuff right there.

One thing I can say: the book is much better than the recent movie released this year. I didn't get to see the movie in 3D, so the movie might be entertaining 3D-wise, but not story-wise.
