I liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a lot, but was very disappointed by this, the second in the series of three . . . and probably won't trouble to read the third. This book caused some sleepless nights for me. I stayed up past 1am all this week to finish. And now I can't wait to get to the next one.

Cliched in places, but nevertheless and excellent thriller. I particularly loved the difference between what Salander sees and what Blomkvist sees (if you blink you'll miss it, it's to do with her secret apartment.) Don't read this book unless you can immediately start the final part of the series, it's a cliffhanger.

While I enjoyed learning more about the Salandar character and experiencing her maturity. This book dragged for me in the beginning. I really struggled to get through the first half. The second half of the storyline definitely picked up for me and I found much more intriguing.

Slow start, but picked up after about 30% and was very enjoyable after that. I noticed the movie skipped the whole first section as well.
Loved the trilogy!
