What Members Thought
Although this book didn't have a lot of explanation as to how the author found the village in which she spent a month, and didn't go to much into her past travels in West Africa, I enjoyed this peek into a rural village in Gambia. One of the things that I learned in this book was how poor their diet is. The author decided to eat as the locals did, and found that after a short time, she became very lethargic and weak from eating mostly rice, and not much else. She also described the beauty of the
