The Wreck of the Seladon is the story of the Norwegian ship carrying coal to Honolulu that became stranded on one of the coral Islands in the Pacific (Starbucks Island). On August 8th, 1896, the lifeboats were lowered, and despite the hazardous conditions, the crew had to steer for the closest habitable Island, since Starbuck was an uninhabited and desolate. It was a month before they found land. They had found Niulakita Island of the Tuvalu chain.
