This was a beautiful story of friendships, family, and love that took place over two time periods. On audio, it was sometimes confusing to remember who was speaking and in what time period. This can be contributed to having only one (lovely) narrator and/or scattered-brain on audio. 😉

It's a really good feeling when you found a "new" author who is actually not really new, and you just found out that she has written some other books already :D It's like receiving a belated Christmas present or something :)
I like the way Lucy Foley writes - she mixed some elements pretty well: arts, history, family drama and beautiful settings, without making the readers overwhelmed. She could manage the elements in good balance and the story is still enjoyable at the end. True it's a bit long ...more

Seduced by the cover. Entertaining and escapist but really just mini-series fodder.
