What Members Thought
One of the saddest books I've read in a long time. To describe what this book is about would be to lessen some of its wonder. Best to read it as though meeting a person for the first time - the discovery in moving from unfamiliar to small reveals.

The story of a family, a mountain, and an unforgivable act. Dark, beautifully composed, elegantly written. This was difficult to read in places, and so moving in others.
Its beautifully written prose brings alive a myriad of interesting characters but fails to shed light on the two central mysteries at the heart of the narrative. Absorbing but deeply unsatisfying.
