A young boy is found dead and all the evidence points to a local coach. But there is overwhelming evidence that he wasn't even in town at the time of the murder. It's a seemingly impossible situation and, in those first couple of hundred pages of set-up, the book is impossible to put down. But as the truth is revealed and the supernatural element is introduced, the narrative feels like it loses steam. This was excellent on audiobook. What a creepy and gripping novel, and a fun escape while I’m on long drives. Will Patton does an amazing job narrating this book, and I highly recommend listening to him tell this story.
