A wonderful memoir that puts a personal story in conjunction with time and the history of Australia.

Beautifully written, compelling memoir. The issues Conway describes facing as a woman, daughter, and student in 1950's and 1960's Australia are still pertinent today. A recommended read for all, and particularly for young women who will find an inspirational woman who managed to reflect constructively, make the right, and not always easy choices, and thus pursue and live a meaningful and life. ...more
