What Members Thought
Fantastic! Fun, warm, modern and unapologetic. I raced through this book, so invested in seeing how it would end up. And the writing is impeccable! This book casts an unblinking eye on all the ways women can muck up their lives and the damage secrets can cause. The exploration of prejudice, class and culture make this book an important one as well as a barn burner of a read!
Book club. Boo’s story of being misidentified in the pickup line as paid childcare help rather than a parent, the misidentification hit hard. Did NOT expect the revenging that burst serially and devastatingly; felt like I was reading the subsequent portions of a book whose first half I’d not been given access to.
