I picked up this book when vacationing in Spain with my family. Parts of this book left me laughing out loud. John Irving's development of the characters is what made this book so memorable for me. I've tried many other John Irving books and haven't finished any of them. A Prayer for Owen Meany is the only one I've liked. I've read it several times.
