Wasn't my fave. Too much werewolf. Not enough wizardry, and definitely not enough Bob!

This is the second book in the series featuring Harry Dresden the only openly practicing wizard in the U.S. Dresden is asked by Lieutenant Murphy to investigate a grisly death that Dresden ends up believing is connected to werewolves. Poor harry gets beat up a lot more in this book than I remember happening in the first book. I like the way the author balances humor with a serious message about battling evil. I've heard t he series only gets better so I'm looking forward to reading more of them.

Second of the Dresden Files featuring a wizard working as a Paranormal Investigator helping out the Chicago PD. I didn't enjoy this as much as the first one. The plot just didn't grab me and in the end I decided not to see how it all turned out. Such a shame because it's a brilliant concept with sardonic with - just drawn out too much for me.

A good continuation. It's a little heavy on fight scenes for me, but I still enjoy the magical worldbuilding and the noir vibes.
