Gilead was an amazing book, and Home is almost as good. Home is the story of Gilead, but told from a different point of view. Glory, Reverend Boughton's youngest daughter is the main character, and we see Jack's story unfold through her eyes.
10/5/2020: I am reading Home again, because Jack, the fourth book set in Gilead, was just published.
Reading this again reminded me of what a wonderful writer Ms. Robinson is.

A long time ago someone asked me the question, where do you feel at home? I thought really hard about this question because I didn't feel at home anywhere or maybe I felt at home everywhere I went. Home does represent house to me but it represents so much more than just a physical structure. Home is not a home without the people and things that belong in the house.
