This book is amazing. I couldn't stop turning the pages and I fell in love with the characters and the bonobos and the people in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) who help to save them. The youth I read the book with were greatly impacted by the story.

I bought this book at a Goodwill store, not knowing what it was really about, other than that it took place in the Congo. It turned out to be a Y.A. novel about a teen girl visiting her mom, who runs a bonobo (endangered chimpanzee relative) sanctuary in the DRC. A coup ensues while she is there, and the rest is non stop adventure/action and what will happen next. A page turner!
